We specialise in creating safe, fun and inclusive learning environments that help children to learn and love learning. Our aim is to foster a growth mindset and help children to become self-regulated learners.
Nigel Lungenmuss-Ward
Nigel is a distinguished educator, tutor, and published author with a strong commitment to promoting literacy and character education among children. With a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of East Anglia, Nigel specializes in Key Stage 1 and 2 education. He is the founder of That Book Guy - Tutoring Services, where he provides high-quality tutoring to students from diverse backgrounds.
Nigel's passion for literacy and character development is evident in his dissertation on developing character education in the classroom. He believes in developing children both socially and educationally, which he achieves by making his lessons fun, engaging, and interactive. He believes in the power of reading and storytelling, and he reads stories to his students at every opportunity.
In December 2020, Nigel published his first picture book, a testament to his creative talent and love for literature. His efforts to promote the benefits of reading for pleasure have been recognized in the education community, winning the Egmont Early Career Teacher Award in 2020.
Nigel's commitment to promoting literacy and character education among children has earned him the prestigious Ruth Rendell award for services to literacy in 2022. When he is not teaching, Nigel enjoys coaching football, watching sports, singing, and going on walks with his family.
