Nigel and Robbie are a father and son book-producing duo, who love creating new characters and stories together. One day, Nigel asked Robbie what he wanted to be when he was older and Robbie's answer was an illustrator or animator. His response made Nigel reflect upon the words... when you are older and why it is perceived that children need to wait to chase their dreams. So, Nigel asked Robbie to illustrate his own story of how he became a singer in a band and Freddie's Impossible dream was born.
Freddie's Impossible Dream
Freddie's Impossible Dream is all about dreaming big and never giving up and is based on the true story of author Nigel Lungenmuss-Ward, who overcame many obstacles to realise his dream of being in a band.
This engaging and heartwarming picture book, follows Freddie on his journey to overcome the childhood fears holding him back and chase his dream of becoming a singer in a band.
Robbie drew the pictures for this book when he was the tender age of 8 years-old.
What's That?
Nigel wrote this story based on a game he used to play with his children when he worked in the classroom. It is predominately about encouraging children's imaginations, whilst having strong links to other areas of the curriculum, such as inference, direct speech and character creation. There are also several activities for adults and children to enjoy based on the story.
Once again, Robbie drew the illustrations for this book when he was just 10 years-old and finished the edits when he was 11.
